Hello! My name is Dan Smith, I am the owner/tree climber. I've been climbing trees for a little over 5 years. Born and raised in sunny St. George, Utah. My hobbies include rock climbing, fishing, and music.
Pruning/Trimming
A common question asked is why trees should be pruned or trimmed, especially when it comes to health and appearance.
Trimming and pruning your trees is essential for maintaining their health, appearance, and safety.
Regular pruning involves removing dead or diseased branches, which can help prevent the spread of illness and pests. It also promotes better air circulation and sunlight, encouraging stronger, more vigorous growth.
Pruning for structure reduces the risk of branches breaking during storms or heavy winds, which can cause damage to property or injury.
Trimming helps shape the tree, ensuring that it grows in a balanced and aesthetically pleasing way.
By keeping your trees well-maintained, you contribute to a safer, more attractive landscape while extending the life of the tree itself.
Tree Removal
There are 3 big reasons to remove a tree.
1. If the tree is dead or diseased
A diseased tree can be a breeding ground for pests and fungi, potentially spreading illness to surrounding plants or weakening the tree to structural failure.
2. Roots
Tree roots can invade and damage concrete surfaces and underground pipes, causing cracks, shifts, and potential structural failure. If left unaddressed, this damage can escalate, leading to costly repairs and disruptions.
3. Hazardous branches/limbs
Hazardous branches overhanging a house present a serious risk, especially during storms or high winds, as they could break off and damage the roof or even cause injury to those nearby.
In these cases, removing the tree may be the best option to protect your property, prevent further damage, and ensure the safety of your home and family.
